Blaž Brodnjak is the CEO of NLB d.d., the parent bank of NLB Group, the leading banking and financial group with headquarters and an exclusive strategic interest in Southeast Europe. He is a senior corporate banker with 25 years of diverse experience on all levels of international banking groups, having been acting in managerial or supervisory positions in 17 sizeable banks, as well as 3 insurance companies, one market leading asset management and one larger international production company in altogether 8 countries. He has joined NLB d.d. in 2012 as a Member of the Management Board and has taken over the CEO and CMO positions in July 2016 (the latter until May of 2022). During his tenure, NLB reached many important milestones – from completed privatization, many years of successful business operations, and various M&A’s, to milestones in the field of sustainability. In December 2024 NLB received a new, improved ESG rating of 10.5 by the company Morningstar Sustainalytics, reflecting a low risk of material financial impacts from ESG factors. Later the same company also recognized NLB with the Top Regional and Top Industry (Banks) badges.
