Jože P. Damijan is a Full Professor at the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business, and Visiting Professor at the University of Leuven, Belgium. His research interests and teaching activities include macroeconomics, international economics and globalization. He is one of the most internationally cited Slovenian economists, regularly publishes columns in major Slovenian newspapers and runs the most widely read economics blog in Slovenia (DAMIJAN blog). He was a Minister of Growth in the Slovenian government and a Vice President of the Council of Economic Advisors to the Slovenian Prime Minister. He is a renowned business consultant and has led several dozen consulting projects for major domestic and foreign companies, international organizations, ministries and agencies in the fields of trade liberalization, market structure & competition, telecommunications, transport, logistics and infrastructure, finance, energy sector, food industry, mergers.
