Maja Baćović, PhD, is a full professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Montenegro, narrower field: Macroeconomics. The recipient of the UoM Award for contribution to scientific research and professional work at the Faculty of Economics in Podgorica for 2021. She was a member of the Center for Young Scientists (CANU). Vice-Rector for International Cooperation (2015-2017) and a member of the Senate (2013-2017) at the UoM. Member of the team that prepared the Economic Reforms Agenda (2003), the first strategic economic document in Montenegro after the collapse of the SFRY. The first president of the Statistical Council of Montenegro (2006-2008). She coordinated the first report on human development prepared by UNDP for Montenegro (2005). Author of 3 books and many papers published in journals indexed in the WOS database.
